TMT Bar Manufacturing

1. Iron Making

Direct Reduced Iron (DRI): Iron ore is reduced using coal in rotary kilns at ~1150°C, producing sponge iron.

2. Steel Making

Electric Arc Furnace (EAF): Melts DRI and pig iron at ~1650°C, refined in Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) for impurity removal.
Continuous Casting Machine (CCM): Converts refined molten steel into high-quality billets.

3. TMT Bar Manufacturing

Rolling: High UTS Quenching and Self Tempering (HUQST) Rolling Mill reduces billets into rebars at ~1050°C.
Quenching: Thermex System rapidly cools rebars, forming a martensitic rim with a hot austenitic core.
Self-Tempering: Heat from the core tempers the martensitic layer into tempered martensite, forming an intermediate ring of martensite and bainite.
Atmospheric Cooling: Rebars cool slowly, creating a strong surface with a ductile ferrite-pearlite core.

Pipe Manufacturing Technologies

1. Seamless Pipe Manufacturing

Mandrel Mill Process: Steel billets are pierced and elongated using a mandrel.
Extrusion Process: Heated steel is forced through a die for seamless pipes.
Rotary Piercing & Pilgering: The billet is pierced with rotating rollers for elongation.

2. Welded Pipe Manufacturing

ERW (Electric Resistance Welding): Steel strips are rolled and welded using electric resistance.
HFW (High-Frequency Welding): A high-frequency variant of ERW for superior weld quality.
LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding): Large-diameter pipes welded longitudinally.
SSAW (Spiral Submerged Arc Welding): Spiral-welded steel coil forming pipes.

Ductile Iron Casting: Used for water and sewage pipes.
Centrifugal Casting: Molten metal is rotated in molds to form pipes.
